Justin Koua who was arrested last Friday has been accused of making inflammatory speeches in recent months. His name has been cited by persons arrested in connection with recent attacks on military positions in several towns of the country.



Le Patriote says the FPI is an enemy of peace and was exploiting the issues of national identity and land ownership to seek notice on the political landscape. It accuses the FPI of using the land issue to instigate Ivorians to rise up against those perceived "as strangers who want to take our land."



Le Democrate: The Minister-delegate for Defence, Paul Koffi Koffi yesterday presided over the opening of a seminar aimed drawing up a programme for the eviction of persons who illegally occupied private and state lands during the Ivorian crisis. The Minister told particapnts including top military officers that two years after the post electoral conflict, it was time to normalise the situation and return the illegally occupied properties, usually by armed individuals, to their rightful owners.

Fratmat.info, L'Inter, L'Expression, Soir Info, Le Temps, LG Info: Dozens of demobilised ex-combatants held a demonstration yesterday at the Prefecture of Man to express their discontent with "the inclusion of outsiders" in the list of ex-combatants admitted for integration into the Customs service and the School of Waters and Forestry. The local army commander brought the situation under control and reiterated the promise made by the national Authority for Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration that each ex-combatant who hands over his weapons to the authorities would be entitled to a CFA 40,000 francs (80 USD) allowance while waiting to be integrated.
