Crisis-resolution – Two groups of rebel are fighting in Bouaké, result: three injured
www.afreekelection.com – The cantonment of ex-combatants of the Armed Forces of Forces Nouvelles (FAFN) is complete, but arms still crackled on Tuesday in Bouaké. Two rebel factions clashed, leaving three injured. Blood flowed on Tuesday at the south corridor of Bouaké, situated at the entrance of the town. The shooting between two factions of rebels resulted in three injured. One close to Commander Morou Ouattara of the Bouna zone and the other close to Cherif Ousmane, Commander of the Instruction Group 3 of Bouaké. The information collected shows that for about three days, the road to the south corridor is closed due to mending works conducted by elements of the Deputy Commander of the Instruction Group of Bouaké, Soro Dramane, also known as Sergent Doctor. The road is therefore forbidden to all the drivers and a detour has been provided. On Tuesday at 1.00 pm, an element, close to Commander Morou Ouattara attempts to force the road that has been closed with his motorbike. He is arrested by the elements of the other faction. Since he refused to comply, a confrontation broke out. One element of the Sergent Docteur, a man known as "Chaka" seemingly slapped the face of the other one. Since he was alone against overexcited opponents, he did not react. He returned to look for help. He informed some of his friends among the ex-combatants residing in the Air France neighborhood. The return was much disastrous since the elements of Morou Ouattara came back with arms to avenge their comrade who had been attacked. The elements of "Sergent Doctor" who were not expecting such a reaction were caught by automatic fire arms. The shooting resulted in three injured in the camp of Sergent Docteur. (...)

Crisis-resolution – Redeployment of customs administration: 115 FAFN elements deployed in Pogo and Ouangolo
www.afreekelection.com – The redeployment of the customs administration in zone CNO is now real. On Tuesday, elements of the Armed Forces of the Forces Nouvelles (FAFN) were deployed in Pogo (Malian border) and Ouangolodougou (crossroad-town situated 30 km from Burkina Faso). Out of 250 FAFN elements able to join the Ivorian customs service, 115 trainees have been deployed, in accordance with the Ouagadougou Political agreement. The Minister of Industry, Dosso Moussa, in charge of finance issues within the Forces Nouvelles recalled that the customs administration is "essential in the regulation of the Ivorian economy". For him, the date of 31 October should help "accelerating the process for the unification of the country, by completing the redeployment of the administration throughout the country". He said he was happy for the completion of this operation which marks "the creation of a single State treasury with the redeployment of the customs administration in the CNO zones". The Forces Nouvelles, Minister Dosso promised, "will do everything to contribute to the smooth organization of general election in Côte d'Ivoire. They will not fail in their duty to contribute to the establishment of peace".

Presidential election on 31 October: Here is the origin of the 55,990 doubtful petitioners
Le Nouveau Réveil – It is probably tomorrow Thursday or on Friday that the final voters list should be signed by the Head of State and then published. The validation operation has already started. In addition to the results of the administrative and legal phase of the appeal process that the technicians of the SAGEM and INS have to take into account, there is the case of 55,990 petitioners who are impossible to find after the verification initiated by the Prime Minister's Office. But who are they? Where do they come from? Are they really fraudsters or are they allegedly called fraudsters? According to trustworthy sources, two categories of persons have to be distinguished in the group of 55,990 petitioners. The first category involves the petitioners whose documents were found and considered as not in accordance with the data in the civil register given on the enrolment form. These ones are 25,473 persons. The second category concerns petitioners coming from non-existent registers. They are 30,517. But due to the bad maintenance of the Ivorian civil registers in general, it has been decided that an expert committee will be created to continue the search to find them. If the search has a good outcome, the petitioners will be added to the voters list and will be able to take part in the parliamentary and municipal elections. Otherwise, they will not be considered as Ivoirians and eligible to the voters list.
