with ADO: « The electoral process is at an impasse »

Le Patriote  -
The Special Representative
of the UN Secretary-General for Côte d'Ivoire, Y.J. Choi continues his
consultations in an attempt to put the crisis-resolution process, which has been
broken for a long time, back on course. (...) He met yesterday with the Chairman
of the RDR, Allasane Dramane Ouattara in his office in Vallon. As we can easily
imagine the discussion was on the crisis-resolution process: « The political
situation, on which reunification and elections depend, is at an impasse and
this creating tensions », said candidate Ouattara's guest. This why Y.J. Choi
made this proposition: « The electoral dynamic has to be quickly renewed in
order for the crisis-resolution process to progress».

Exclusive: Surprising
Cancellation of the march on May 15 - Gbagbo gave compromising files to Bédié:
grave confessions

Soir Info
-
[...] Gbagbo simply relied on sensitive files to convince ex-president of the
Republic, [the Chairman of the PDCI-RDA, Henri Konan Bédié] to cancel the march.
President Gbagbo showed Chairman Bédié evidence of the massive presence of
foreigners on the provisional electoral list of 5,300,000 million voters and
irrefutable proof of the involvement of the Rally of Republicans (RDR) in this
fraud. The Head of State showed the Chairman of PDCI, extracts of blank birth
certificate issued by a town hall in a Forces Nouvelles area, signed by the RDR
Mayor, Fanny Ibrahima and "the Mayor's admission of fraud" according to our
source. In addition, Gbagbo gave Chairman Bédié, a photocopy of a list of 14,000
foreign nationals on the list of 5.3 million people. Embassies of some foreign
countries have already recognized these 14,000 people as their nationals. Mr.
Boureima Badini, the representative of the Facilitator, present at this meeting
confirmed Gbagbo's statement to convince Bédié.

Laurent Gbagbo did not stop
there. He also gave Bédié, a comparative list of people enrolled in Korhogo and
Bouake, the stronghold of the PDCI-RDA. Bédié was surprised to note that Korhogo
had more electors than Bouake. He also gave him some statistics for cities in
"south" where the electorate is in favor of the Rally of Republicans. According
to our source, Gbagbo said to Bédié, that he recently met with a Minister of RDR
and he thought that this Minister was deeply involved in the coup in preparation
and had something to do with the weapons discovered in Anyama on May 5, 2010.

(...) The head of state has
also revealed to his host, with supporting evidence that it is in a computer
booth belonging to this Minister that the file of 429,000 persons was created
and made available to the IEC. According to our source, the minister in question
had admitted his wrongdoing in front of the Head of State Laurent Gbagbo who
reported the confession to Bédié. And last but not the least, Gbagbo told Bédié
that "the coup that had been foiled, was destined to undermine not only the
institutions of the Republic, but also the political leaders including President
Bédié.  Gbagbo asked therefore Bédié not to be the butt of the joke of "these
people". "Do not let yourself be manipulated by them. Help me clean this list,"
he said

Postponement of May 15
march/Anaky reveals: -''At first, the budget of the march was 400 million FCFA''

L'Intelligent d'Abidjan
 - The president of
the Movement of Forces of the Future (MFA) Kobéna Anaky said on Wednesday, May
12 that the demonstration will be held on May 15 at all costs despite the veto
of the RHDP leaders. He held a press conference at his party's headquarters in
Deux Plateaux, two hours before the meeting of the four leaders.

"I'm not for the postponement.
The MFA insists that this event should happen. We are not talking about the
march on May 15, but the great popular demonstration which begins on May 15.
Regarding the end of this demonstration it depends on how our activists and the
people will react to the issue. "The MFA - he said- is still a member of the
RHDP. We believe more than ever that the RHDP must be united and even open to
other political parties. The MFA is not leaving the RHDP". "The holding of the
annual assemblies of the African Bank of Development is not the only reason
given by the Presidents of the PDCI and RDR to postpone the march. There is a
financial argument. Initially, we proposed a budget of 100 million CFA francs.
It went up to 400 million CFA before coming down," he noted. (...).
