The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General and head of the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire (UNOCI), Aïchatou Mindaoudou, on Tuesday, 23 July 2013, met with Fidèle Sarassoro, Director of the National Authority for Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration of ex-combatants (ADDR). Speaking at the end of the meeting, Mrs Mindaoudou welcomed the close collaboration between the institution led by Mr. Sarassoro and UNOCI.

« ADDR has a mandate whose implementation is difficult. Even the nature of its work puts it under pressure, » said the Special Representative. « I would like to assure Mr. Sarassoro that UNOCI will continue to support the ADDR in carrying out its mandate, and that I am ready to consolidate the collaboration between UNOCI and the ADDR, » she added.
