UNOCI donates informatics equipment to Abengourou Police Prefecture

The UN Operation in Cote d'Ivoire (UNOCI) has donated a consignment of informatics equipment and accessories worth CFA 11.5 million francs (23,000 USD) to the Abengourou Police Prefecture.



The equipment, handed over on 17 October 2014 within the framework of UNOCI's quick impact project programme, consisted of 12 personal computers, 4 printers, a video projector, one laptop and a UPS unit.



The Sub Prefect of Abengourou, Kouassi Missa thanked the UN Mission for the donation, saying UNOCI has always assisted various institutions for the development of the country. "This donation of is to enable the Police to better serve the population in their duty to protect people and property," he noted.



The interim Police Prefect, Commissioner Marceline Tai said the donation comes within the framework of the partnership between the Police and UNOCI and promised that his staff would make good use of the equipment.
