The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Côte d'Ivoire, Mrs Aïchatou Mindaoudou, on Friday, 11 September 2015, received a delegation of the Rassemblement des Republicains (RDR) – Rally of Republicans – led by its secretary-general, former Minister Amadou Soumahoro, to discuss the latest developments.



Speaking at the end of the meeting, Mr. Soumahoro said that his delegation had come to reassure UNOCI and the international community that his party was willing to work to strengthen peace and security in the country. "We want to reassure everyone of the RDR's and RHDP's willingness to do everything possible to ensure that the forthcoming elections are democratic and peaceful, and that they are conducted in a peaceful electoral environment," he told the press.
