LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND SECURITY FORCES TRAINED IN INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN RIGHTS AND PROMOTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS

At the end of three days of intense work and training on the protection of international humanitarian rights and human rights, local government officials and members of the security forces in Taï received their diplomas on Thursday, 30 May 2013. The training was initiated by the National Coordination for Human Rights with technical support from the United Nations System and international organizations.



During the presentation of diplomas, Lieutenant N'guessan Aka of the Gendarmerie Brigade in Taï, thanked the instructors and initiators of the training for the quality of their interventions. "This seminar was beneficial and rich in content. The knowledge gained will be put into practice wherever it is needed," he added.



Speaking on behalf of the United Nations family, Mouna Amidou of the Human Rights Division of the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire said that the training had been organized with the aim of strengthening the capacity of participants.





In closing the seminar, the Prefect of Taï, Aka Kassy Bio, reassured the UN System that the knowledge gained would be applied on the ground.
