UNOCI pays last respects to Sergeant Adjinare Kpelor

The UN Operation in Cote d'Ivoire (UNOCI) on Friday 11 October 2013 paid homage to Sergeant Adjinare Kpelor of the Togolese military contingent (TOGOBATT) who died on 4 October 2013.



Special Representative of UN Secretary-General for Cote d'Ivoire, Aichatou Mindaoudou, the Deputy UNOCI Force Commander, General Talla Niang and several officers took part in the solemn ceremony at UNOCI HQ in Abidjan.



In his funeral oration, Captain Afoh Tchaouta of TOGOBATT said Sergeant Kpelor was an exemplary worker and a good soldier. "Sergeant Kpelor was a good and disciplined soldier," he declared.



Sergeant Adjinare Kpelor died at the age of 33 and leaves behind a widow and two children to mourn him.
