Special Representative receives Ivorian Minister of Solidarity, Family, Women and Children

"We discussed issues related to solidarity, war victims, reconciliation and social cohesion". These were the words of the Ivorian Minister of Solidarity, Family, Women and Children, Mrs Anne Ouloto, speaking after her discussions with the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Côte d'Ivoire and head of the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire (UNOCI), Mrs Aïchatou Mindaoudou, on 25 October 2013 in Sebroko, the headquarters of the UN mission in Abidjan.



Mrs Ouloto said that she and the Special Representative had also discussed Government projects for young people in difficulty and those to help women become economically independent. "Our country wants to be an emerging country and in order to do so we have to work with women, especially those in rural areas," she explained.
