Special Representative discusses with leader of RPC-Paix

Following the conclusion of the presidential election in which she was a candidate, the leader of the Renouveau pour la Paix et la Concorde (RPC-PAIX)- Renewal for Peace and Agreement, Henriette Lagou, held discussions with the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Côte d'Ivoire, Aïchatou Mindaoudou, at the headquarters of the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire (UNOCI), pn Monday, 30 November 2015.



The head of UNOCI had visited Henriette Lagou earlier in November 2015 to congratulate her on her republican behaviour, firstly by taking part in the presidential election on 25 October 2015, and then for conducting a peaceful campaign and finally for attending the swearing-in ceremony of the President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.



Speaking after the latest meeting, Mrs Lagou told journalists : « It is important to continue to discuss with each other so that the forthcoming legislative and municipal elections can be successfully organised ».



In this regard, the leader of RPC-Paix said that contacts and discussions should be held regularly to ensure that Côte d'Ivoire finds lasting peace.
