Special Representative and Minister Delegated to the Defence discuss latest developments in their cooperation and collaboration

The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Côte d'Ivoire, Mrs Aïchatou Mindaoudou, and the Minister Delegated to the Defence, Mr. Alain Richard Donwahi, discussed the latest developments in their collaboration and cooperation, during a courtesy visit by the Chief of the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire (UNOCI) on Monday, 8 February 2016.



Speaking after the meeting, Mrs Mindaoudou said that she had reaffirmed to the Minister, UNOCI's availability and willingness to work with the Ministry of Defence through its military and police components.



For his part, Minister Donwahi welcomed « UNOCi's willingness to continue its long history» of accompanying and assisting his Ministry with the aim of attaining its objectives, especially with regard to the implementation of the law on military programming. « We will continue to work together in order to ensure that we can meet our objectives in the best way possible and also to overcome any new challenges we may face, » he added.
