Abidjan, 10 March 2015... The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Côte d'Ivoire, Mrs Aïchatou Mindaoudou, takes note of the verdicts decision published on 10 March 2015 regarding the court case of the persons charged with committing crimes during the post-electoral crisis in Côte d'Ivoire.



Mrs Aïchatou Mindaoudou encourages the Ivorian legal authorities to continue their efforts with regard to the legal process of those persons charged with committing crimes, human rights violation and abuse during the post-electoral crisis, without prejudice to their political affiliation.



The Special Representative encourages the authorities to continue their efforts for the effective implementation of the reparation process for victims of the post-electoral crisis.



The Special Representative reminds all the actors that reconciliation can only come through truth and justice.
