Quotidien d'Abidjan:
The Ivorian government says it regrets the refusal by the Ghanaian authorities
to extradite the spokesman of former Ivorian president Laurent Gbagbo, Justin
Katinan Kone who is wanted in Cote d'Ivoire for economic crimes committed during
the 2010 post electoral crisis. Ivorian Justice Minister Gnenema Coulibaly says
his government will comply by the Ghanaian decision.

The Director-general of the national Authority for Disarmament, Demobilization
and Reintegration (ADDR), Fidele Sarassoro says prospects for the financing of
ADDR operations were very good at the moment. He announced that President
Alassane Ouattra had contacted the African Development Bank, the EU, and the
World Bank for funding and acknowledged that the Ivorian government and the UN
Operation in Cote d'Ivoire have been giving financial and logistic assistance to
the institution.

Motorists , truck drivers and public transport vehicles shall henceforth be
provided with security escorts to help ward off attacks by highway robbers.

Prime Minister Daniel Kablan Duncan has said "difficult times call for
exceptional men. That is why Bedie should continue to remain at the head of the
PDCI party." The Prime Minister was speaking to some high ranking PDCI party
officials gathered at his residence on Saturday.

The leader of the "Mouvement des Forces de L'Avenir" (MFA) party, Anaky Kobena
has reiterated his faith in the RHDP alliance. He told an MFA party meeting that
he deplored the fact that since the fall of Laurent Gbagbo,the RHDP had not met
to give a sense of direction ton its members. Mr. Kobena said nothing
fundamental has changed from a socio-economic point of view during the past two
years. The head of the RHDP directorate, Djedje Mady also addressed the MFA
meeting and reminded the MFA president "not to wash dirty linen in public."

One of the Vice Presidents of the FPI party, Aboudrahamane Sangare says the
party will continue to demand the immediate and unconditional release of Laurent
Gbagbo. Mr. Sangare is the Spokesman of pro-Gbagbo detainees who were recently
released on bail.
L'Inter:
Security forces shot tear gas grenades at some 400 Water and Forestry student
officers and sub officers who protesting against their non-integration into the
public service since graduating from school.

Sources at the Judiciary say four political prisoners, "after having undergone
45 days of torture in the hands of the military", were conveyed to the Abidjan
main prison (MACA) on Friday 30 August 2013.
