Force commanders of UNOCI, Licorne and FRCI meet in Abidjan

The bi-monthly tripartite meeting between the heads of the Forces Républicaines de Côte d'Ivoire (FRCI), the military force of the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire (UNOCI) and the French Force Licorne was held on Tuesday, 10 September 2013, at the military base of Licorne in Abidjan.



The FRCI Chief of Staff, General Soumaila Bakayoko, UNOCI Force Commander, General Muhamad Iqbal Asi, and the Commander of Force Licorne, Lieutenant-Colonel Rémi Bouzereau, discussed the security situation in Côte d'Ivoire, and the different aspects of their partnership. They also discussed the different security operations carried by the FRCI against roadside bandits and armed groups.
