The Director-General of the Senegalese national police force, Mrs. Anna Semou Faye ended a 3-day inspection tour of Senegalese police units deployed with the UN Operation in Cote d'Ivoire on 14 June 2014.



Mrs. Faye lauded the units for work accomplished in the field as forces of law and order and highlighted the fact that after her appointment as head of the Senegalese Police Force, she had undertaken a number of innovations such as bringing the management closer to the men and women in the field.



« I hereby urge them to represent their country in a dignified manner. I am proud and very happy to hear their expression of satisfaction and I encourage and urge them to double their efforts because we can always do better. I congratulate them for the work done so far, » the Director-General said.

Mrs. Anna Faye recalled that Senegal has a history of participation in UN peacekeeping missions to consolidate, alongside other nations, peace and security and make it possible for countries in difficulty to pursue their development.
