Special Representative discusses aspects of political dialogue with Minister of State in the President’s Office

As parts of her good offices and regular meetings with Ivorian political actors involved in the national reconciliation process, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Côte d'Ivoire, Mrs Aïchatou Mindaoudou, held discussions with the Minister of State in the President's Office, Mr. Jeannot Ahoussou Kouadio on Wednesday, 25 February 2015.

Speaking after the meeting, Mrs Mindaoudou said she and the Minister of State had discussed the evolution of the political dialogue. « During the last discussion we had, the Minister of State had informed me that the Government and Opposition parties were scheduled to meet and sign the minutes of the meeting they had had. I came to find out from the Minister why this meeting had been postponed," she explained, adding that they had also discussed different aspects of the political dialogue.

For his part, Minister Jeannot Ahoussou Kouadio informed the press that he would shortly organise a meeting to give the results of his consultations on the exceptional funding of political parties and the status of the Opposition.
