The Special Representative receives the Executive Director of the ICAO

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Côte d'Ivoire, Aichatou Mindaoudou, met on Wednesday April 1, 2015, with the Executive Director of the London-based International Cocoa Organization (ICAO), Jean-Marc Anga. Their discussions mainly focused on the security situation in Côte d'Ivoire and the possible relocation of ICAO from London to Abidjan.

"I thanked the Special Representative for the participation of UNOCI in the 91st Session of ICAO, which was held in Abidjan last week, and we discussed about the security situation," Mr. Anga said at the end of the meeting.

Commenting on the possible relocation of ICAO, the Organisation's Executive Director said that technically, Cote d'Ivoire has met the criteria. But he said that the decision to relocate rests with ICAO's board which will meet in September 2015.
