
Mrs Mindaoudou and the African diplomats reviewed aspects of the implementation of UNOCI's mandate and discussed the latest developments in the country, especially the socio-political situation, security issues and progress in the electoral process.
«This consultation meeting between UNOCI and the African Ambassadors accredited to Côte d'Ivoire regularly provides us with the opportunity to discuss the latest developments in the situation. We hold these discussions as a way of ensuring that everyone has the same information,» explained the Cameroon Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, Alfred N'guini who is acting leader of the diplomatic corps for the purposes of the meeting.
With regard to the forthcoming presidential election scheduled this year, Mr. N'guini said during the meeting that they did not have any particular concerns about the electoral process.
