The force of the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire (UNOCI) and the United Nations Police (UNPOL) will be accompanying the Ivorian Police and Gendarmerie, as well as the Forces Républicaines de Côte d'Ivoire (FRCI), during "Operation Mirador" between 23 December 2014 and 2 Janaury 2015, aimed at strengthening security during the end-of-year festivities in Côte d'Ivoire.
In this regard, UNPOL is participating in joint mixed patrols with police units as well as supporting the direction and control of traffic in and around Abidjan.
