Ivorian Head of State and Special Representative discuss political situation and electoral process in Côte d’Ivoire

Abidjan, 16 October 2014...The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Côte d'Ivoire, Mrs Aichatou Mindaoudou, today, met with the Ivorian Head of State, President Alassane Ouattara, to discuss the political situation and electoral process in the country.



The visit was part of the SRSG's regular encounters with President Ouattara to update him on the results of her good offices activities which she carries out among political actors in the country.

Speaking at the end of the meeting, Mrs Mindaoudou told journalists: « Apart from giving the head of state an update on my good offices mission, I also updated him on on the recent visit of the United Nations mission which was in Côte d'Ivoire some two weeks ago to assess the electoral needs of the country » .
