The deputy prefect of Vavoua, Boli Djedje, said that Tiahouo was among the villages in the sub prefecture which promoted tolerance throughout the post-electoral crisis.

For his part, the head of the UNOCI delegation, Mr. Joseph Malanda of UN Police said the meeting was aimed at encouraging the people of Tiahouo to maintain their spirit of peaceful coexistence.
