
The UN Operation in Cote d'Ivoire (UNOCI) on 25 September 2014 handed over the keys of the recently renovated Police station of Tengrela municipality, 800 km north of Abidjan as well as office equipment and materials including computers.

Receiving the keys of the police station , renovated at a cost of CFA 11.5 million (23,000 USD), the Police Prefect for the Savannes District, Divisional Commissioner Boitinnin Kouame Kouakou expressed satisfaction with the project, saying the staff of the police station would henceforth « work in a more favourable condition and with better quality material. No doubt they would offer better services for the welfare of the population ».

It would be recalled that UNOCI has executed other quick impact projects in the area including the general hospital, the Lycee Moderne, the Institute for the training and education of wwomen and the Prefecture of Tengrela.
