
Speaking after the meeting, Mrs Mindaoudou said: "I told the Minister of the Interior that UNOCI would continue to work in perfect cooperation with him and his Ministry". She also said that the Ministry of the Interior was a special privileged partner of UNOCI.
The Special Representative said she had "shared certain ideas on the ongoing reform of the security sector, a reform which is supported by UNOCI" with the Minister.
For his part, the Minister of the Interior, Hamed Bakayoko welcomed the Special Representative's visit. He thanked her for all the efforts that have been made by the United Nations in Côte d'Ivoire since the post-electoral crisis until now. "We assured her of our availability to continue to work with UNOCI to normalize Côte d'Ivoire for the happiness of Ivorians," added the Minister of the Interior.
