The United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire successfully completed its mandate on 30 June 2017.

250 UNOCI peacekeepers deployed in MINUSCA

Abidjan, 20 November 2015.... Some 250 peacekeepers from the Rapid Reaction Force of the Senegalese Battalion of the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire (UNOCI), based in Yamoussokro, are to be deployed in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Mission for the Stabilisation of the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), from 25 November 2015.

The redeployment, which will be for a duration of between six to eight weeks, is part of the UN's action to strengthen the capacity of MINUSCA.

UNOCI's Force will remain operational in Côte d'Ivoire in accordance with its mandate as outlined in UN Security Council Resolution 2226 (2015).
