The Ambassador of the United States said goodbye to the Special Representative and assured the UN Mission of the support of his country

At the end of his mission in Côte d’Ivoire, the Ambassador of the United States of America, Terrence McCulley visited on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, the United Nations Operation in Côte d’Ivoire (UNOCI) headquarters in Abidjan where he met with the special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Côte d’Ivoire, Aïchatou Mindaoudou.

After the meeting, Mr. Mculley said that the objective of his visit was to say goodbye to the Special Representative. In addition he ensured that the US Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire and the Government of the United States of America will continue to support the implementation of UNOCI’s mandate until the end of its mission in June 2017.

This mission was truly a success for the United Nations

"I congratulated the Special Representative for her hard work to accompany Côte d’Ivoire and to lead this Mission which is actually a success for the United Nations," said Ambassador Mculley.
