Abidjan, 4 January 2010... The United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire (UNOCI) regrets to announce the death of a Togolese soldier in the mission. Corporal Ametepe Agbenyo died on Sunday, 3 January 2010, at the Polyclinic Sainte Anne-Marie in Abidjan (PISAM), where he was admitted on 2 January after falling ill.
Corporal Ametepe Agbenyo arrived in Côte d'Ivoire on 24 November 2009. He was 44 years old.
He is 43rd soldier to have died in UNOCI's since its deployment in April 2004.
