Special Representative receives Swiss Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire

The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Côte d'Ivoire and Head of United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire (UNOCI), Mrs Aïchatou Mindaoudou, on 13 November 2013, received the Swiss Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, David Vogelsanger, to discuss the areas in which they can collaborate.

« We spoke about the situation in Côte d'Ivoire and other matters », said the Swiss Ambassador. On the issue of his country's assistance to UNOCI, Mr. Vogelsanger explained that Swiss experts were recently in the UN Mission to discuss UNOCI's needs in terms of specialised police. « We identified such areas as cyber ciminality, internet crimes as well as financial investigations and we are going to try to find Swiss police officers who fit these profiles, » explained the Swiss Ambassador at the end of his discussions with the head of UNOCI.
