The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Côte d'Ivoire, Mrs Aïchatou Mindaoudou, on Monday, 14 July 2014, met the Minister of State in the President's Office, Jeannot Ahoussou-Kouadio, to discuss developments in the political dialogue between the Front Populaire Ivoirien (FPI) and the Government, and the consolidation of peace in the country.

Speaking at the end of the meeting, the Minister of State appealed to opposition parties, especially the FPI to return to the negotiation table. « Anything is possible but things have to be done in a peaceful manner. The problem of the presidency of the IEC cannot be resolved away from the negotiating table, » he added.
