Deputy Special Representative Akodjénou receives Africa Director in Britain's Foreign Affairs Ministry

The Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Côte d'Ivoire, Arnauld Akodjénou, on Tuesday, 10 December 2013, met with Catherine Inglehearn, the Director of the Africa Bureau of Great Britain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.



Speaking after the encounter, Mrs Inglehearn said that she and Mr. Akodjénou had discussed the work of the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire (UNOCI) and the remaining challenges.



"{We spoke about the challenges that the Ivorian Government still has to overcome. We are are waiting for the elections in 2015 and we hope that stability in a Côte d'Ivoire will become effective}," she added.



The Director of the Africa Bureau was accompanied by the British Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, Simon David Tonge.
